The Writing Resource.ca brings together an experienced team of writers, editors and educators, who aim to help individuals and businesses improve their writing skills. This skilled team provides writing and editing services, as well as workshops for government, unions and various organizations. More specifically, they create tailored coaching sessions and have special proficiency for helping those with English as a second language.
Senior Editor for The Writing Resource.ca, Valerie Mansour, has worked as a freelance editor, writer, researcher and journalist for over 25 years. While she is a member of the Centre for Women in Business, Valerie was unaware that she could apply to be on their list to offer workshops until she spoke with the SmartBusiness team and learned about this connection. After additional conversations, she wrote a proposal and is now on their list for future events.
Most recently, SmartBusiness has helped The Writing Resource.ca make contact with the
Nova Scotia Community College. As a result, the organization is planning to present writing
workshops to students in an adult education program.
