Our-Programs

How it Works

The program offers two options for employers to learn about attracting and hiring international workers.

Option 1: One-on-One Visit

To learn about the immigration process you don't have to leave your office. Our Account Executive, who is an immigrant herself, will schedule a visit to your workplace. During the visit she will:

  1. Listen to your needs and concerns
  2. Tell you your options
  3. Connect you to the right people

After the initial meeting, you will have the tools to feel more confident and better prepared to begin the immigration process.

Option 2: Information Sessions by Sector

Employers can also learn about the process by attending immigration sessions by sector.

These sessions are organized by the Greater Halifax Partnership in partnership with the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration, Citizenship and Immigration Canada - Temporary Foreign Worker Unit and Service Canada.

By attending a session you will have the opportunity:

  • to learn about the recruitment and hiring process directly from the immigration departments
  • to share your experiences with other employers, if you have used the immigration process to hire from abroad
  • to learn from those employers who are already seeing the benefits of hiring internationally trained workers
