The program helps small, medium and large size businesses learn how they can hire skilled workers from abroad. It provides employers with information on the opportunities and benefits of hiring immigrants and how they can begin the process.
Partnership staff will meet one-on-one with anyone involved in hiring including business owners, CEO's, human resources professionals, recruitment personnel and managers.
In 2010, 58 employers were educated about the immigration process and the temporary foreign worker program, as well as the benefits of hiring immigrants and internationally-trained workers. 28 employers contacted by Immigration Employer Support staff reported they’d hired 48 temporary foreign workers, 13 international students/graduates and 27 immigrants.
