Program Guidelines

1. Once it has been established you qualify to participate in the program, an online database user account will be set up by the Connector Program coordinator and sent to you through the database.
2. A program meeting with program coordinator will be scheduled to discuss the process of the program and connector companies that are aligned with your career goals
3. Over the next two weeks, the  program coordinator will find a connector who is willing to meet with you for a connection meeting
4. You will be introduced to one connector through email within two weeks of meeting the program coordinator
5. The connector responds to the email, suggesting a time and location for you to have the connection meeting
6. During the meeting, you must ask the connector to provide you with up to three referrals of other business leaders in your industry you may benefit from meeting with
7. An email is sent to the connector from the program coordinator thanking them for their time and a message they can cut and paste to approach the next round of connectors.
8. Once you are provided with the names of additional connectors, you can contact them directly to request a connection meeting.  
9. If no referrals have been provided to you within two weeks  of the initial meeting, you will be re-connected a second time to a different connector
10. From here, your opportunities are limitless to connect with business leaders in Halifax and continue with your job search

Please Note:

• The success of this program is based on your willingness to establish new relationships and maintain contacts with business leaders
• You will only be connected twice from the program coordinator through an email of introduction
• Once you secure full time employment your participation in the Connector Program shifts to the role as a connector, where you can assist other newcomers or international students expand their professional networks
