Fred Morley Named to Ambassador Club
Destination Halifax recognized Fred Morley, Vice President and Chief Economist of the Greater Halifax Partnership, with a Halifax Ambassador Club Achievement Award at an awards gala on March 8. Nominees were selected in recognition of individual and personal efforts that resulted in Halifax being chosen as the venue for a meeting, conference or special event for 2004.
Mr. Morley was recognized for his role in attracting the ‘Business Retention and Expansion International Conference’ last May. Business Retention and Expansion International (BREI) is a nonprofit professional association of economic development professionals who work to advance business retention and expansion as an economic development strategy for communities.
This is the second year that the Ambassador Club has recognized individuals in the HRM with an Achievement Awards Gala. The Halifax Ambassador Club is an alliance of individuals who through their association positively influence economic growth in Halifax Regional Municipality through the promotion of Halifax as a premier meeting and convention destination.
