As part of Oceans Week, Nova Scotia Ocean Technology companies are invited to participate in an Oceans Career Fair and Industry Showcase on Thursday June 6th, 2013. The Oceans Career Fair, Industry Showcase and Oceans Gala Dinner will raise awareness of the impact and relevance of the oceans sector on the Nova Scotia economy, community and career opportunities. Nova Scotia scientists, researchers, industry, students, media, government and other stakeholders will gather at the Cunard Centre on June 6th as part of Nova Scotia’s Ocean Week 2013.
Halifax is home to groundbreaking research and a strong cluster of oceans industries. This region is quickly becoming a globally recognized hub of oceans expertise with the potential to a significant contributor to a number of Global Value Chains associated with the oceans sector be it in Marine Defence, Marine Energy, Marine Observation etc and afford the associated career opportunities to Nova Scotia’s youth.
On Thursday, June 6, 2013 we intend to bring together leaders and visionaries in oceans industry, along with ocean researchers, government, students and others wanting to explore a career in the oceans sector, to create a forum to share knowledge, build energy, and harness potential on all levels. The day will feature a Career Fair, B2B meetings, Seminars and Industry Showcase and will culminate with a Gala Dinner in celebration of the powerful role, and the incredible potential, of the oceans sector in our economy, environment and culture.
Mark June 6 on your calendar. For Nova Scotia companies registering as exhibitors, there will be no charge. As an exhibiting company you will have access to local researchers, highly qualified (or soon to be highly qualified) potential employees and for B2B meetings with international companies attending the event.
