Thanks in part to the Gulf Stream waters, Halifax is blessed with idyllic summer days that give way to leisurely falls, mild winters, and vibrant springs. Our climate provides us with negligible risk of business disruption from extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes.

The influence of the sea is not surprising as Nova Scotia is almost an island that is connected by a slender corridor of land to the rest of Canada. It is surrounded by the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the north, the Bay of Fundy to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south and east.

Located almost exactly half-way between the Equator and the North Pole (44º 39' N Longitude) Halifax is below the 49th parallel and at almost the same parallel as Portland, Maine.
