The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is a business advocacy organization that represents the businesses in Halifax to meet and attend to business needs. The Chamber is an association of almost 2,000 member businesses and over 93,000 employees.
The Halifax Chamber of Commerce works to build and strengthen business culture through advocacy, networking and leadership.
The Greater Halifax Partnership and The Halifax Chamber of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 14, 2004 to strengthen and define the ways in which the Partnership and Chamber can better serve the community together.
The MOU identifies areas of common interest where the two organizations can collaborate on the strengths of the Chamber’s existing and successful priority setting and advocacy work and the Partnership’s research. This collaboration is guided by regular and effective communications between both organizations on a regular basis.
