Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia and the economic centre for Canada's East Coast.

With a population of over 370,000, it is the largest city east of Québec and north of Boston. Halifax is experiencing consistent growth, with annual population increases of 1%. The Conference Board of Canada predicts the population of Halifax will reach 450,000 by the year 2020.
