- Estimated economic impact of $2.6 Billion, accounting for 8.1% of the provincial GDP
- Including spin-offs, the sector generates $5.0 billion, or 15.5% of GDP
- 60,000 jobs, or 14% of provincial employment.
- Includes Canada’s East Coast Navy, federal departments and labs, offshore natural gas, fisheries & living marine resources, marine transportation, and a range of ocean technology firms.
