The Canada/Nova Scotia Business Service Centre has created the Innovation Info-Guide, an excellent online guide designed to help you navigate the broad range of government and non-profit programs and services that support technology funding in Halifax and the rest of Nova Scotia.

Innovacorp provides business incubation and mentoring services in addition to venture capital through the Nova Scotia First Fund. InNOVAcorp operates two technology business incubators in the Halifax Regional Municipality: the BioScience Enterprise Centre and the Technology Innovation Centre.

The Environmental Industries Branch of Nova Scotia Environment and Labour coordinates the delivery of business assistance to the environmental industry sector.

The Resource Recovery Fund Board Inc.’s Value-Added Manufacturing Approved Program provides funding for companies that are looking to commercialize and market new and innovative products, services, and equipment from the waste stream.

Entrepreneurs' Forum was developed in 1992 by business people and professionals in Nova Scotia to foster the growth and development of innovative and knowledge-based companies. The non-profit organization, comprised of volunteers from the business and professional community, provides support to entrepreneurs by giving timely, practical and expert advice during key stages of a new or existing business.
