As a means of measuring our impact on the community, the Greater Halifax Partnership tracks data to measure the economic performance of the Greater Halifax economy and compares it to other cities across Canada. This benchmarking tells us that the Greater Halifax Partnership is adding velocity to the growth of our city while at the same time growing it smartly and maintaining the unique qualities that make Halifax a great place to live and work.

To better understand our position amidst other Canadian cities, the Greater Halifax Partnership selected communities with two or more points of similarity in the areas of demographics, industry sectors and geographic proximity.

The comparison cities include: St. John’s, Newfoundland; Québec City, Québec; London, Ontario; Regina, Saskatchewan; and Victoria, British Columbia.
