Halifax county has continuously posted positive growth.
Halifax Population Growth Estimates
For most of the latter half of the past decade Halifax was a healthy competitor for population growth among the benchmark cities, however as the effects of the recession have accumulated that pace has slowed, but is expected to return to normal growth rates as the economy begins to recover.
Halifax Community Population Growth
Halifax communities have grown on average 6.2% between 2006 and 2009, with the largest increases occurring in Portland - East Woodlawn (12.8%), Rockingham-Wentworth (11.5%) and Waverley- Fall River (10.9%).
