The Greater Halifax Partnership has developed an aggressive business development strategy with the goal of increasing trade and investment to improve the quality and number of new employment opportunities in Greater Halifax.

The Partnership works closely with all three levels of government to deliver joint trade initiatives including business-to-business trade missions and familiarization tours in international markets.

By leveraging relationships with our partners around the world, the Partnership is able to create and nurture the necessary relationships for business development across a broad range of sectors. One example of this is our participation in the World Energy Cities Partnership. The World Energy Cities Partnership provides opportunities for multi-sector growth by creating links to other sectors through the initial energy relationships. Ultimately, an opportunity is created to build the profile of Halifax and Nova Scotia, and develop trade relationships that expand into multi-sectors.
