Venture capital

Also known as risk capital, patient capital, or equity financing, Venture Capital (VC) refers to any funds invested or available for investment in potentially highly profitable and high-risk enterprises.

Venture capitalists are the companies or individuals that provide investment capital, management expertise, and experience. In return for their investment, venture capitalists will take an equity position in your company, usually in proportion to the amount of their investment and the level of risk involved. The future return on their investment is tied to the performance of your company.
