One of the world’s top financial minds, Robert will discuss his views on what is necessary in Halifax and Nova Scotia to be successful in the future. After over 30 years of being in business, Mr. Kelly always thinks in terms of competitive advantages and disadvantages that may allow one to outperform - or underperform - whether it be countries, cultures, governments, schools, people or businesses.
A native of Halifax and a graduate of Saint Mary's University, Robert will offer insight gained from his business experience at the international level. His past experience includes the successful merger of Mellon Financial and Bank of New York, CFO of Wachovia Corporation, and Vice Chairman of Toronto Dominion Bank. Mr. Kelly has been named one of America's Best CEOs by Institutional Investor Magazine, and was twice named a Top 10 Bank CEO by US Banker Magazine.
