Director, Investor Relations
Tom’s Halifax life began in 1977, when he left Ottawa to attend Saint Mary’s University and play Hockey for the Huskies, graduating with an MBA in 1982. For more than 20 years, Tom has worked in sales and management across the IT sector with Systemhouse, EDS and Xwave. He has worked closely with clients in nearly every sector of private industry, from manufacturing and distribution to life sciences and professional services. Tom joined the Greater Halifax Partnership team in 2008.
Tom’s role as Director of Investor Relations is to maintain strong and mutually productive relationships with our 150 private and public sector investors. Maintaining stakeholder and investor relations is the lifeblood of the Partnership. His role as primary point of contact for investors allows him to identify and act on opportunities, helping them to achieve their objectives and engaging them fully in community and economic growth.
In addition to his work with Greater Halifax Partnership, Tom is an active member of Oakfield Golf & Country Club. He has contributed his time and effort in the past to The Halifax Progress Club, The United Way, The Blue Nose International Marathon, Junior Achievement Nova Scotia and Cornwallis Junior High.
