David Fleming

Junior Economist/Project Development Coordinator

David's role with the Partnership involves producing measurable results as identified in the Economic Strategy. This includes managing the production process for various economic reports produced by the Partnership, and communicating the findings in a variety of forms. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of new projects, including writing project charters, developing funding models and budgets and ensuring the projects are implemented accordingly.

David grew up in Forest Hills in Dartmouth, before moving to Prince Edward Island in 1993. He attended the University of Prince Edward Island, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Philosophy. He is a certified Business Continuity professional through the Business Continuity Institute (one of 30 in Canada with the designation CBCI). David has worked with public, private and non-profit organizations, most recently with Health PEI, the provincial health agency for Prince Edward Island, before joining the Partnership.

David lives a very active life; you can often find him running and cycling year-round. He also volunteers with several organizations, including Kidsport, the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society, the Rick Hansen Institute, Prostate Cancer Canada, Oxfam and the CIBC Run for the Cure.
