About Light the Night
On October 22, 2011, the Greater Halifax Partnership will be joining teams and individuals from across Nova Scotia in the first Light the Night Walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma in Atlantic Canada.
Carrying illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer - thousands of walkers across Canada - men, women and children - form a community of caring, bringing light to the dark world of cancer.
Funds raised for this event support lifesaving research, education, local programming and support through the L & L Information Centre.
Paul Kent, President and CEO of the Partnership, is a member of the Executive Committee for this worthwhile event.
