Smart Business. Strong Community.
About Us

The Connector Program is a way for Newcomer Professionals to become connected to Greater Halifax, and helps break through barriers of entry that many newcomers face when looking for work in Greater Halifax.  The program connects immigrants to local employers and allows them to build a solid network of contacts.
A connection is made based on industry experience, professional backgrounds or if the participant has an interest in a specific organization.

Once the connection has been made, an introduction email will be sent to the Connector and the Participant to set up a meeting.

 Who are Connectors?

“Connectors are people in a community who know large numbers of people and who are in the habit of making introductions.  A connector is essentially the social equivalent of a computer network hub.  Connectors usually know people across an array of social, cultural, professional and economic circles and make a habit of introducing people who work or live in different circles.”
